There are so many problems and ailments that routine eye exams are able to reveal. From dangerous diseases like glaucoma to simple everyday problems such as your kids grades. Yes, that’s right eye exams can make a difference in your kid’s grades. Many parents are frustrated and at their wits end, dealing with the problem of low grades and low attention span of their children in school. They try shouting, punishing, rewards and everything under the sun to no avail. It is interesting to know that the solution to these seemingly complex problems can sometimes be very simple and easily remedied.
If your child cannot see in class how can they learn. They won’t be able to take proper notes or even understand what is being said, if they are huge gaps left out because they cannot see what their teachers are writing. Sometimes the problem may not be detected at home as their eyes are young and strong and so they seem to function well, reading from books and seeing other objects that are close to them. The difficulty arises when they try to see things at a distance such as the whiteboard or chalkboard in school.

We all know that our eyes are important. But many of us don’t realize that we take our eyes for granted. We use them every day to do almost every task imaginable and yet we treat them so casually. They don’t really require much in terms of everyday maintenance, no special creams, lotions or potions are necessary unless there is a problem that requires specific attention. If not you just wash your face, keep your eyes closed and its business as usual. You go to the doctor several times a year for various ailments and at least twice a year for a routine medical exam to make sure all is well and your body is performing at its optimum. But what about your routine eye exam.
A simple routine eye exam twice a year can prevent and solve all these problems. It is an important part of the overall medical health of your family and should be included on your back to school checklist along with supplies and dental exams. An ounce of prevention is definitely worth a pound of cure. So eliminate the chance of your kids having low grades because of poor eyesight, do their routine eye exams.
